Breathtaking and so exciting, the Pfefferberg has have become an important venue for innovative circus acts.
Contemporary circus is a fusion of the most diverse forms of expression, acrobatics, drama, dance and music.
From exhilarating and inspiring, to poetic or provocative, our circus acts are always world-class and absolutely astonishing.
Contemporary dance is an ethereal art form – and we're happy to have such an amazingly innovative array of dancers, choreographers and companies appear on our stage.
With guest appearances ranging from Chaim Gebber / Open Scene, to Siciliano Contemporary Ballet and Luana Rosetti, we want to inspire our audiences with fresh visions of modern dance.

This is where illustrious names get together, from Gregor Gysi to Charlotte Link, Robert Harris, Alexander Gorkow, Max Goldt, FIL, Reinhard Kleist, Deborah Feldmann, Heike Makatsch and Robert Stadlober.
All of these well-known personalities – and many more – have appeared in our Literature LIVE series of staged readings organized in cooperation with Thalia bookstores.
We believe in offering youngsters a special stage experience. That's why theatre made for children and families is so close to our hearts.
Acts appearing regularly on our stage include Coq au Vin with their wonderful combination of spectacular acrobatics and humorous drama that creates imaginatively interactive shows for the whole family.

Berlin's Hexenberg Ensemble are always welcome guests on our stage – in winter with their iconic performances of Grimm's fairy tale classics, or throughout the year with classic folk theatre.
From Molière to Shakespeare, the Hexenbergers love to perform timeless favourites with a contemporary twist and a sense of humour that never fails to delight audiences.
Together with the Schankhalle Pfefferberg, we are proud to host the annual Parieté, a unique event where (inter)national artists with and without disabilities present a one-of-a-kind show under the direction of award-winning choreographer Giorgio Madia.
We are proud to set an example with Parieté – and happy to showcase other inclusive ensembles, like Szene 2wei or the Black Castle Theater, on our stage.
